Councillor Kelly hosted the Agricultural Advisory meeting that was held last night (Feb 15) at the West Carleton Community Complex in Kinburn.
On a snowy evening, the meeting was well attended and included some great conversations:
• City staff were present to discuss the future of BESS and alternative energy applications with the City
• Deputy Fire Chief Nathan Adams from Ottawa Fire Services provided insight into the unique issues and concerns of BESS
• Other discussions included this year's upcoming rural summit and gathering feedback to prepare for the spring workshops.
Thanks to Councillor David Brown for being there. Our best to Councillor George Darouze, who had looked forward to attending but was under the weather and sent along his regrets.
