Dear residents,
We are aware that existing customers of Northwind Wireless have received communication stating that, effective March 10th, they will no longer be providing internet services.
While the City does not regulate internet services, I feel an obligation to the community to provide support during this challenging situation. As such, my team and I are actively trying to find solutions, alternatives, and be a source of information to residents.
We can all agree that having reliable internet has become a necessity in today’s day and age, whether it is for working from home, or for students wanting to do assignments. My understanding is that Northwind’s decision will impact approximately 300-325 customers.
My office has confirmed that there are several internet providers in the area, and we are actively communicating with the City and proponents to provide alternative services to those who are affected, even if only in the interim.
It is important to note that this is not an endorsement of any particular company but below you will find a list of service providers in the area along with their contact information. If you are aware of any others, please do pass them along and we will include them in follow up communications. Please keep an eye on our office's social media for updates and reach out if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind regards,
