Statement from Councillor Kelly:
Another edition of the 162nd Carp Fair — The Best Little Fair in Canada — is now in the books! The highlight for me was catching up with so many neighbours and friends, both old and new, at this great event I've loved since I was a kid. Every year, I've watched how nicely it brings our community together, and now my daughter, Heather-Lina, gets to experience that, too. It was nice to be able to get her on some of the children's rides for the first time.
I was glad to take part in Saturday’s annual parade and had some nice visits at the Ward 5 booth from Mayor Sutcliffe, Councillors Cathy Curry and Ariel Troster, Kanata–Carleton MPP Karen McCrimmon, Carleton MP Bruce Fanjoy, and Kanata MP Jenna Sudds.
A heartfelt thank you to Carp Fair Presidents Faye Potter and Kyle Rivington, the entire Carp Fair Board, and the many dedicated volunteers and community leaders who work so hard behind the scenes. Your commitment and community spirit are what make this incredible event possible year after year.
