Update on Fitzroy & Harbour Sidewalk Renewal - Project Status

Our ongoing work on Fitzroy St has seen the repoured curb tie-ins at the side streets, placement of topsoil and sod. As well as the removal of the sidewalk on the north side of Fitzroy Street, between Harbour Street and Kedey Street.

  • Harbour Street (Nicholson Street to McHugo Street) contractor has completed the concrete sidewalk and has placed topsoil.

  • Harbour Street (McHugo Street to Piggot Street) has installed the new curbs and sidewalks.

  • Harbour Street (Piggot Street to Fitzroy Street) has installed the new curbs and sidewalks.

  • Harbour Street (Fitzroy Street to Creek Drive) have removed the existing sidewalk.

Additionally, below is the expected lookahead of works that we’re anticipating occurring next couple of weeks:

  • Fitzroy St reinstatement of the asphalt.

  • Harbour Street (Nicholson Street to Fitzroy Street) Completion of concrete sidewalk installation, catch basin relocation, and sod placement.

  • Harbour Street (Fitzroy Street to Creek Drive – at school) preparation and installation concrete sidewalk, and asphalt reinstatement.

  • Harbour Street (Creek Drive to Crossland Drive) existing sidewalk removal.

Construction activities along Harbour Street in the vicinity of the school started November 1st. The Contractor has been reminded that noisy and dusty work should not be completed when students are outside, as per request of school.
