West Carleton Disaster Relief Update: More Sandbagging Needed and Volunteers are Essential

Flood Update Monday, May 1 - Important Information

More Sandbagging Will be Needed and Volunteers will be Essential.

The new Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board forecast shows that the rain of the last two days will raise the Ottawa River levels higher than previously forecast. By Thursday they will be 60.25 Metres above sea level, 25 to 30cm or 10 to 12 inches higher than last week’s peak. The forecast for Friday is not out yet but monitor our posts because the water COULD still rise higher. We will keep you up to date.

To volunteer call us at 613 447-4446 or click https://bit.ly/WCDRvolunteer. Please help your neighbours. Come to the Constance Bay Community Centre (262 Len Purcell Dr) and WCDR will direct you where you are most needed. Registering helps WCDR manage and support our volunteers each day.

If you need assistance at your property call the same number or https://bit.ly/WCDR-assistance
