My 2026 Canada Day Message

Today we celebrate Canada, the strong, resilient, diverse and amazing nation we are proud to call home.

I believe that West Carleton-March is a shining example of what we know Canada to be.

This community is hardworking, generous, and full of people who care. What makes this place special is the volunteers, the neighbours, the families, the small businesses, and everyone who steps up. We may argue, debate, and disagree, that’s part of democracy, but when times get hard, we show up for each other.

Across this vast country, Canada is held together by communities like ours, people helping people.

As we celebrate today, we also honour the people who came before us, the generations who built this community and helped shape the Canada we know today.

Whether you're enjoying a community celebration, spending time with family and friends, out on the water, or simply relaxing at home, I hope your day is filled with pride, gratitude, and joy.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to making Ward 5 such an incredible place to live, work, and raise a family.
