My Update on Bringing a Park to Fitzroy Estates

Last week marked an exciting milestone for Fitzroy Estates. After many meetings, conversations, and a great deal of advocacy, we have finally reached the point where the process of bringing a park to Fitzroy Estates can begin.

This year, funding was set aside for the feasibility study and conceptual design, and I was very pleased to join City staff from Parks Planning on site yesterday to get this important work underway.

This is the culmination of a lot of effort, and it’s incredibly encouraging to see the vision for a park in Fitzroy Estates move from an idea toward reality.

There is still work to be done, but this is an important first step. When public consultation begins, I’ll be sure to share the details and opportunities for residents to have their say.
